About this series

It withdraws from the tumult of hastily laid roads. It plunges resolutely into the forest. I feel it beneath my feet—this strip of land. Winding between the trees, it is no straight line.
It skirts the pines, greets the oaks. I am the traveler on this trail— the one whose existence bears the weight of uniform days and repeated gestures. Slowly, discreetly, the trail works within me. The solitude of the forest is not empty; it is full, vibrant, populated.
Equal among the blades of grass, equal among the stars glimpsed between the peaks, I know now: the great adventure is not always far away. It can begin here, at the edge of a simple trail that plunges into the forest.
